There was great excitement in our school today as members of the successful senior hurling team, under 20 hurling team and representatives of the senior ladies football team visited, bringing with them the Liam McCarthy, the James Nowlan and the Mary Quinn memorial cup.
The children gave them a very warm welcome with a rousing performance of the Galtee Mountain Boy followed by a question and answer session. The visit coincided with our recent success in the ‘Active Schools’ initiative and what better occasion than today to raise our very first Active School flag and celebrate that achievement!
