The King’s Ears
The students in 3rd & 4th class used the story of “The King’s Ears” as the basis for their music lesson. Each group represented a different character from the story; the King, the widow, the barber, the musician and the Druid. Within their groups the children had to work together to compose a short piece of music, using percussion instruments, to portray a theme/feeling associated with their characater. Eg.: King: strong/steady & Widow: sad/worried etc.
See how they got on when put to the task!
