I hope you are all keeping well and have enjoyed the glorious weather over the bank-holiday weekend.
The month of June is upon us and so marks a change in the school/home work for the last month of the academic year in Golden NS.
The class teacher will continue to set work on the school website. However, the school/home work will be reduced to allow for some additional work, namely 'active' school work and water safety awareness.
Ms. O'Brien and Ms. Ryan, together with the Active School Committee, worked incredibly hard in obtaining our first Active School Flag last year. The month of June in Golden NS is always an active one with an 'Active School' week and Sports Day taking place over the month. In lieu of these popular events, we are asking children to be as active as possible this week and we would love to see photos or videos on seesaw if possible!
Links to the Water Safety Ireland PAWS programme (Primary Aquatics Water Safety) have also been included in the home/school work set by each teacher this week. Water Safety is always taught during the month of June in our school and we are anxious for this to continue outside of the classroom.
