Acting as role-modes and leaders is an important part of the senior classes in Golden N.S. and this year’s bunch have taken to this responsibility like a duck to water. Nowhere is this more evident than in the way 5th and 6th class have taken to organising and teaching the Junior and Senior Infants playground games.
As Playground Leaders, 5th and 6th boys and girls take turns to teach Ms Corbett’s class a range of fun playground games on Thursday lunch and Friday break. This is not only a lovely opportunity for our Infants to get to know each other better and learn some games they can play together, but it’s a great chance for our 5th and 6th class to practise leadership skills, foster team work and grow in confidence.
So far their efforts have been thoughtful, imaginative and caring and everyone involved is having a blast.
