Papier-Mâché Egyptian Masks
20th Feb 2019
The girls and boys in 3rd & 4th class worked long and hard on creating these wonderful masterpieces after learning all about Ancient Egypt. It was a 5 week long process over all from start to finish, but it was worth the wait! It involved:
-cutting the base out from cardboard
-assembling the mask and chin onto the base
-making the papier-mâché layer using newspaper and wallpaper paste
-spray painting the masks gold
-adding the final finishing touches (eyes, eyebrows and blue decorations)
Take a look at the pictures below showing how they constructed the masks step by step!
Well done 3rd & 4th on creating these wonderful projects!
