Nature’s Ploughman
29th Nov 2018
The children in 3rd & 4th class created their own wormey to show how important the work of a worm is for fertile soil. We put layers of clay and sand in a glass jar, added some worms and let them off to work for a week. After a week had passed we examined the jar and saw how the worms had mixed the clay and sand together, allowing water and oxygen to pass through the soil - important components for fertile soil!!
