We were delighted to welcome Minister for Special Education and Inclusion, Josepha Madigan, to our school today.
Accompanying the Minister on her visit were Senator Garret Ahearn, former TD Tom Hayes and Cllr’s Michael Fitzgerald and Declan Burgess.
The Minister spoke at length with Mr. McCarthy in relation to our recent application for additional school accommodation (ASA) incorporating an ASD unit.
The Minister also took time to speak with members of our Board of Management in addition to visiting the some of the classrooms and speaking with the children.
Before departing, the Minister met with our Amber Flag committee and congratulated them on all their hard work in promoting wellbeing in our school.
Despite the inclement weather, the Minister was happy to raise our Amber Flag which is now flying outside our school building.
