Gardening with Harry
Today, our Infant classes took full advantage of the sunshine and headed out with our caretaker, Harry, to sow the first of this year's veggies!
Relishing the chance to get our hands dirty, we planted onions and potatoes in our raised beds, first. Next we used nets to protect the onions from hungry birds and railings to stop the potatoes from being dug up by busy bunnies!🐰
Harry also took the opportunity to remind us how valuable the compost we add our fruit peels and cores to every day is in providing rich food for our growing vegetables.
We had a great time developing our green fingers, enjoying the first of this year's sunshine. We look forward to more gardening with Harry as the weather improves!
