Infant School Tour to Fota Wildlife

12th Jun 2018

The Junior and Senior Infants headed off with Miss O'Brien and Miss Ryan to Fota Wildlife for our tour this year and what a day was had!

We met first with our lovely tour guide Rachel, who gave us lots of exciting information about all the animals we visited, as well as handy tips for telling meat eaters from plant eaters ("eyes on the front; like to hunt, eyes on the side; like to hide).

We met with a beautiful peacock looking for his girlfriend, the peahen, as we took our break and even went for a "big hunt" using pointers! We saw lots of animals, some new to us and some familiar, some very cute and others very fierce. Then we headed to the Oasis Café for our yummy dinners!
